Jólasveinar hunt

So someone appears to be stealing Christmas around here. And knowing his legends, Father Christmas has a pretty good idea who.

Before anyone sets off to retrieve their lost things, he hands out pairs of new socks.

"That'll protect you." he says. "The Jólasveinar won't hurt anyone wearing new clothes, for some reason."

He puts on his red and white fluffy hat, and leads the way with a lantern.

Gotta get our stuff back
What a beautiful day!
We're not scared!

Cat is bundled up with her leather jacket zipped tight, a scarf around her face, and her goggles down and set to low-light. With the full moon reflecting off the snow, anything else would be blinding.

She pauses to offer Guppy a hand. "Did you twist an ankle or anything?"

"No, just bruised pride and wet trousers." Guppy accepts the hand up. "Thanks. Should have brought a better light."

"Well, with the full moon, I wouldn't have thought it was going to be this dark." She digs into her pockets, then, and pulls out a penlight. "Here. Just don't shine it in my face. My goggles are night vision."

"Oh cheers." Guppy accepts the torch. Outwitted by a teenager again!

"I hope it's not going to turn nasty when we find them."
